Echo 1v1
Watch the pads, then tap them back in order. One more step every round. Three mistakes and you’re out.
How a Echo duel works
- 1One pattern for both
A fresh pattern is made for your match. You and your friend hear and see exactly the same steps, at the same speed.
- 23-2-1, go
The race starts the moment your friend opens the link: a shared countdown, and the first pattern plays for both of you at once.
- 3One more step a round
Every round adds a step to the end of the pattern. Their bar shows how many rounds they have echoed.
- 4Three tries, no replays
A wrong pad costs a try and plays the pattern again. The third mistake loses the race. Replays are off.
Who wins?
The first to echo the last round wins. Times are measured on our server from the shared start.
They are out, and the other player wins.
The other player wins straight away.
Either of you can offer a rematch: one tap, a new pattern, a new 3-2-1.

How to beat your friend at Echo
Each pad sings its own note. A melody sticks far better than a list of colours.
The pattern takes the same time to play for both of you. Races are won by not slipping, not by tapping fast.
Only the last step is new each round. Keep the start in your head and save your focus for the ending.
On a computer, number keys 1 to 6 tap the pads. Rest your fingers on them and you never miss a pad.
Why Echo is made for 1v1
Echo is a memory game you can hear: a ring of pads that light up and sing, and a pattern that grows by one step every round. Head to head it becomes a test of nerve as much as memory, because both players hear the same tune at the same speed, and the race is lost by whoever slips first.
Every Echo 1v1 gets its own fresh pattern, and both players get the identical steps. Every attempt is replayed on our server, which counts the mistakes itself, and the time is measured there from the shared start, so a win is a real win.
Races are live. Send the link, keep the page open, and the moment your friend opens it you both get the same 3-2-1. If someone leaves mid-race or stops playing, the other player wins, and either of you can call a rematch in one tap. It is free, it runs in any browser, and nobody needs an account: just a name.
Prefer to play alone? Today’s daily Echo is the same for everyone, with its own leaderboard and streak.
Echo 1v1 questions
Can I play Echo against a friend online?
Yes. Tap “Challenge a friend”, send the link by WhatsApp, text or any app, and your friend gets the exact same pattern. Keep the page open: the race starts the moment they open it.
How is the winner decided in Echo 1v1?
The first player to echo the last round wins. A player who makes three mistakes is out, and the other player wins.
Can I replay the pattern in a race?
No, replays are off in 1v1 so it stays fair. A wrong pad still plays the pattern again, at the cost of a try.
Does a 1v1 match use the daily Echo?
No. Matches use their own fresh patterns, so racing never spoils today’s daily or touches your daily streak.
Is Echo 1v1 free?
Yes, completely free in your browser on phone or computer. No download and no account: your friend just opens the link, picks a name, and plays.
