Sudoku with sums. Every cage must add up.
Killer Sudoku combines Sudoku with a little arithmetic. The rules of Sudoku still apply: every row, column and 3×3 box holds the digits 1 to 9 once each. On top of that, the grid is split into dashed cages, each with a small number in its corner. The digits in a cage must add up to that number, and no digit can repeat inside a cage.
Few or no digits are given, so the sums do the work. A cage of 3 in two squares can only be 1 and 2; a cage of 17 in two squares can only be 8 and 9. Every DailyFunGames Killer Sudoku has exactly one solution, and select any square to see every set of digits that still fits its cage.
A new puzzle unlocks every day at midnight in your time zone. Early in the week the cages are small and some digits are given; by the weekend the cages grow and the givens all but disappear. Practice mode gives you unlimited extra puzzles.

💡Tips & tricks
- Tip 1
Start with the extreme cages: small sums like 3 or 4 and big ones like 16 or 17 in two squares have only one possible pair.
- Tip 2
Use the rule of 45: every row, column and box adds up to 45. If cages cover a box except for one square, that square is 45 minus their total.
- Tip 3
Cages that sit inside a single row, column or box block their digits from the rest of it.
- Tip 4
When a cage could hold several sets, look for a digit that appears in all of them: it must be in the cage somewhere.
🙋Questions
What is the difference between Sudoku and Killer Sudoku?
Killer Sudoku keeps every Sudoku rule and adds cages: groups of squares whose digits must add up to a given sum, without repeating a digit. In exchange, far fewer digits are given at the start.
Can a digit repeat inside a cage?
No. A cage never contains the same digit twice, even when it stretches across two boxes.
Does every Killer Sudoku have one solution?
Yes. Every daily and practice puzzle is checked to have exactly one solution, so it can be solved with logic alone.
How are points calculated?
Faster solves score more, while each mistake and hint costs points. Weekend puzzles are worth up to double. Solve the daily on consecutive days to build your streak.
