One theme. Eight hidden words. Find them all.
Word Search is the classic puzzle: a grid of letters with words hidden inside it. Every day has its own theme, like fruits, the ocean or musical instruments, and eight words from that theme to find. The words are listed beside the grid, so you know exactly what you are looking for.
Drag across a word from its first letter to its last, or tap the first letter and then the last. The selection snaps to a straight line, and found words get a coloured band and are crossed off the list. Find all eight to finish.
Early in the week words only run across and down in a 9×9 grid. Midweek they can run diagonally too, and at the weekend the grid grows to 12×12 with words running in all eight directions, backwards included. A new puzzle unlocks every day at midnight in your time zone, and practice mode gives you unlimited extra grids.

💡Tips & tricks
- Tip 1
Hunt for rare letters first. A Q, Z, X, J or K narrows the search far faster than an E or an A.
- Tip 2
Look for double letters like the LL in SHELL or the OO in BALLOON: they stand out in a jumble.
- Tip 3
Scan one row at a time for a word’s first letter, then check its neighbours for the second.
- Tip 4
At the weekend, remember words can run backwards: look for the last letter as well as the first.
🙋Questions
How do I select a word?
Press on the first letter and drag to the last; the selection snaps to a straight line. You can also tap the first letter and then tap the last one.
Do words go backwards or diagonally?
It depends on the day. Monday and Tuesday words read across and down only; midweek they can run diagonally; from Friday to Sunday they can run in any of the eight directions, backwards included.
When does the new Word Search come out?
A new themed puzzle unlocks every day at midnight in your local time. Everyone who plays on the same date gets the same grid and words.
How are points calculated?
Faster solves score more and each hint costs points. Weekend grids are worth up to double. Solve the daily on consecutive days to build your streak.
