How close can you match the exact colour?
Color Guess is a colour game with no sliders and no colour picker. Each day you get five target colours, and you mix every one of them yourself from drops of paint: red, yellow, blue, white and black. Lock in your mix and you see how close you got, as a match from 0 to 100%.
The paint behaves like paint. Blue and yellow make green, red and blue make purple, white makes a colour paler and a drop of black darkens it fast. Every target is a real recipe made from the same pots, so a perfect 100% is always possible if your eye is good enough.
Early in the week the colours are simple two-paint mixes with no black on the table. Midweek brings black and three-paint mixes, and weekend colours take three or four paints in finer amounts. Everyone gets the same five colours each day, so the leaderboard is a fair test of your eye.

🎮How to play
- 1
Look at the target colour, then tap the paint pots to add drops to your mix. Your mix shows next to the target as you go.
- 2
Undo takes the last drop back out, and Clear empties the mix. A mix holds 8 to 12 drops, depending on the day.
- 3
When it looks right, lock it in. You see your match and the real recipe, then move on to the next colour.
- 4
Need a nudge? Which paints? ticks the pots a colour is made from. You get three per puzzle, and each costs a few points.
- 5
Your score is your average match over all five colours. Closer mixes, fewer hints and a quicker finish all mean more points.
💡Tips & tricks
- Tip 1
Start with the main colour, then adjust. A green is mostly blue and yellow: get that balance right before you add white or black.
- Tip 2
Black is strong. Add it last and one drop at a time.
- Tip 3
Ratios matter, not amounts: one blue and one yellow is the same green as two of each. Small mixes are easier to fine-tune.
- Tip 4
Compare the two swatches with a quick glance rather than a long stare. Your eyes adjust to a colour the longer you look at it.
🙋Questions
How is the match worked out?
We measure how different your mix and the target look to the human eye, using a colour space built for exactly that (OKLab). The same colour is 100%; one drop off is usually somewhere between 60 and 95%.
Is a perfect match always possible?
Yes. Every target is mixed from the same pots you have, so the exact recipe always fits in your mix.
Is it the same colours for everyone?
Yes. Every player gets the same five colours each day, so the leaderboard compares eyes on equal terms.
How are points calculated?
A perfect day scores 1000. Every percent your mixes fall short costs a little, as do hints and time, and harder days are worth up to double.
