How a Target Number duel works

Six numbers and a target are dealt for your match, and the target can always be reached. You and your friend get exactly the same ones.

The race starts the moment your friend opens the link: a shared countdown, so you both start calculating at exactly the same time.
- 3Two at a time
Combine two numbers with + − × ÷ until one equals the target. Your friend’s bar shows how many steps they have taken.
- 4No hints
Hints are off in a race. Undo and Reset still work, as often as you like.

How to beat your friend at Target Number
Aim for a round number near the target with the big numbers, then use a small one to land exactly.
A spare 1, 2 or 3 at the end turns a near miss into a win.
A dead end costs nothing but time. Reset and try another route instead of forcing it.
A full bar of steps can still be a miss. Keep your head down until someone actually hits it.
