Hidato 1v1
Fill the honeycomb from 1 to the end. Each number touches the next.
How a Hidato duel works
- 1One board for both
A fresh 35-hexagon Hidato is made for your match, with exactly one solution. You and your friend get the same givens and the same shaded hexagons.
- 23-2-1, go
The race starts the moment your friend opens the link: a shared countdown, so you both start at exactly the same time.
- 3One unbroken chain
Fill every open hexagon so the numbers run from 1 to the end, each touching the next. Your friend’s bar counts the numbers they have placed.
- 4No hints
Hints are off in a race. Undo, erase and counting down still work.
Who wins?
The first correct board wins. Times are measured on our server from the shared start.
The other player wins straight away.
Either of you can offer a rematch: one tap, a fresh board, a new 3-2-1.

How to beat your friend at Hidato
When two givens are only two or three apart, the numbers between them often have just one place to go. Fill those in seconds.
Keep your finger down from a number and sweep through the hexagons: each one gets the next number. It is far faster than tapping.
Some stretches are only forced from the top. Flip Count to DOWN and come at them from the higher given.
A red hexagon means two numbers in a row don’t touch. Fix it now, before the rest of the chain builds on it.
Why Hidato is made for 1v1
Hidato is a number puzzle with one rule: fill the honeycomb so the numbers count up from 1, every number in a hexagon that shares a side with the one before. Racing someone on the same board turns it into a test of reading the board fast: which gaps are forced, and which ones you can leave for last.
Every Hidato 1v1 gets its own freshly generated honeycomb with exactly one solution, and both players get the identical givens. The finished board is checked on our server number by number, and the time is measured there from the shared start, so nobody can fake a win.
Races are live. Send the link, keep the page open, and the moment your friend opens it you both get the same 3-2-1. If someone leaves mid-race or stops playing, the other player wins, and either of you can call a rematch in one tap. It is free, it runs in any browser, and nobody needs an account: just a name.
Prefer to play alone? Today’s daily Hidato is the same for everyone, with its own leaderboard and streak.
